Business Profile
Hero Honda Motors (HEROHONDA) is a joint venture between Hero Group of India and Honda Motor Company of Japan which was formed in 1983. The company is a pioneer in India`s motorcycle industry. The company has two manufacturing facilities at Dharuhera and Gurgaon in Haryana. The company spans over 3,500 customer touch points, 256 manufacturing partners and 3 manufacturing plants across the length and breadth of India.

The vehicles are sold and serviced through a network of over 2,400 customer touch points, consisting of a mix of dealers, service centers and stockists across the rural and urban India.

In 2005-2006, the company made its debut in the scooter market with a 100 cc offering aimed at women commuters and homemakers and also launched new engine platforms in 125 cc and 150 cc categories. The company`s bikes are exported to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Columbia, Burundi and Nepal.

Hero Honda has a host of joint ventures which looks after basic in-house requirements of technology and components. Munjal Showa was formed in technical and financial collaboration with Showa Corporation of Japan to design, develop and manufacture front forks, shock absorbers, struts and gas struts. Sunbeam Auto is a piston manufacturing facility in technical collaboration with Honda Foundry Company of Japan. Munjal Auto Industries, a joint venture with the state-owned Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation, was formed to cater to the needs of the overseas market.

Company`s registered office is located at 34, Community Centre, Basant Lok, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi - 110057, India.

The company announced fall of 0.53% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 9.09 billion, while total income climbed 0.45% y-o-y basis to Rs 89.26 billion for the quarter ended June 2018.

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, today announced that it has renewed its association with the globally admired, Golfing great Tiger Woods.

Hero MotoCorp sold 685,047 units in August 2018. The company had sold 678,797 units of two-wheelers in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal.

Hero Motocorp announced a decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2018. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 0.53% to Rs 9,091.70 million from Rs 9,140.40 million in the same quarter previous year.

This translates into a growth of 13% over the corresponding month of the previous fiscal (June 2017) when the company had sold 624,185 units.

Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, reported that the company's sales had increased 16.5% to 694,022 units in April 2018. The company's sales in the same month previous year was 595,706 units.

The fresh product range has been developed to cater to a global customer profile.

Future Plans
The company wishes to further fortify its 25-year old partnership with Japansese two-wheeler maker Honda.
