[04:40:21 PM] => Myiris: Welcome to the chat session, Mr. Kejriwal.
[04:51:44 PM] => jig_suthar : what is this market scenario because of today not any reason for market fall market goes every day fall & fall sentiment, fundamentally very strong.
[04:51:58 PM] => AK : market is behaving funnily and it needs drivers for any major movements which just don't seem to happen.
[04:52:29 PM] => AK :Yes, the shares are demat and you don't have to be worried about a broker. You could do it through an online broker. Transfer the shares into his account and just sell.
[04:52:41 PM] => Jitupali : I have bought 4000 shares of Sail at 8.75 what is the best price to sell Sail?
[04:52:55 PM] => AK : There seems to be a lot of hype in the steel industry but unfortunately not much action. You will have to be patient.
[04:53:13 PM] => Jitupali : I have bought 1300 Silverline @23.85/- , 400 Pentasoft @ 11.20/- , 200 DSQ @ 20.50/-, 500 RPL @22.50/- what is the best price to sell must I wait for the market to come up?
[04:53:26 PM] => AK : You can only make money if the price moves higher than your purchase.
[04:53:38 PM] => rajiv_bhardawaj : What about L&T,M&M and Tata Tea?
[04:53:54 PM] => AK : larsen story has taken a back seat today with UTI expecting a price of atleast 306. Tata tea is attractive and has bounced from y'day low of 152 and M & M scorpio problems have hit the share.
[04:54:10 PM] => kishore : What is the thing which makes successful fund manager?
[04:54:19 PM] => AK : One liner a healthy NAV
[05:05:12 PM] => abb777 : Dear Sir,Where do you think the market is headed? Do you think it will go to 2600 levels as people were talking 3 weeks ago?
[05:05:22 PM] => AK :Very difficult question. As of todays close immediate upside target as mentioned on MyIris this Monday is 3210,therafter one will have to observe, but until 2930 is intact the upmove will have strength.
[05:05:29 PM] => abb777 : Arunji, what do you think about IT Enabled sector? What stocks do you recommend in this sector and what do you think about Infotech Enterprises at 180 ex-bonus?
[05:05:49 PM] => AK : The company made very strange noises at the time of giving guidance with the quarterly results. It is a good company and the price is attractive. As regards the Sector, results in the IT Enabled may be another quarter away.
[05:06:06 PM] => abb777 : Bush will most likely attack Iraq. So with cruse prices going up ONGC will benefit. Is ONGC still one of your favourites even though it has shown interest in bidding for HP and BP? If ONGC is a buy at what price do you recommend it?
[05:06:21 PM] => AK : well HBO was my slogan that time around (H Hind Petro B BPCL and O ONGC) With politicians of all colors making wrong noises, these stocks have been hit. However if ONGC is allowed to bid for either of the two refineries it would benefit ONGC and be to there advantage. You could enter at current levels in ONGC.
[05:06:30 PM] => abb777 : Dear Sir, what stocks are best according to you for investment and at what price do you recommend getting into them?
[05:07:42 PM] => AK : There is nothing like best but I would suggest safe stocks like LIC Housing, Pharma cos like DR Reddy and Ranbaxy and the Banking shares like Bank Of India, Federal bank and J & K Bank at current levels.
[05:11:47 PM] => abb777 : Dear Sir, I have HDFC Bank shares bought at Rs.70 in 1997.Should I exit this defensive stock 52week HL is 256-186] and switch to another banking stock or some other sector?
[05:11:56 PM] => AK : Absolutely refer to previous answer
[05:12:07 PM] => abb777 : Why has Tata Tea dropped below 160 the last few days. Is there some negative news. I bought it at 187. Should I exit? Is there a good upside in the stock or is it a defensive stock like HLL?
[05:12:18 PM] => AK : It is a defensive stock and has fallen possibily because this stock has no operator and because tea auction prices have been soft in recent times.
[05:16:45 PM] => Peter : How come Onward Tech is going up?
[05:16:58 PM] => AK : I have absolutely no idea about this stock.
[05:17:06 PM] => Sekhar_Kus : What is the Reliance position for next month?
[05:17:15 PM] => AK : The stock has moved up smartly today and if it is able to hold at these levels the next resistance would be around the 266 -269 levels.
[05:32:59 PM] => ashishnahata : I am holding VSNL 200 @189 and Pentasoft Tech 2000 @20.50 Shall I hold or
[05:33:47 PM] => Switch. What are the prospectus of these two company.
[05:34:06 PM] => AK : I believe VSNL must be before the open offer and you must have been able to sell 70 % of them at Rs202. At current price of around 125, downside risk is limited but a great upside may not happen. As regards Pentasoft, I don't think you can make money with such a management.
[05:34:19 PM] => mailmamgain : what is the expected BSE sensex level at around 7 sep 2002?why?
[05:34:40 PM] => AK : Wait till Monday morning and read my article on this site "Kejriwalspeak week ahead"
[05:34:55 PM] => Ayan Shah :Sir How is Siemens and ABB looking to invest into from current levels??
[05:35:04 PM] => AK : Ayan I think these are your favourite shares. They are good long term plays and continue trading your shares.
[05:35:16 PM] => manish : do you think that todays market rise will stand
[05:35:32 PM] => AK : Looks a liitle too good too fast and I would be cautious for Monday. In all probability, with US markets closed on Monday, there could be a short term topping out on Monday.
[05:35:54 PM] => mailmamgain : what is the expected Sensex level at around 6Sep 2002
[05:36:07 PM] => AK : Like answered earlier refer to my article on Monday morning after I have a look at todays charts.
[05:36:16 PM] => manish : what do think about fortune info
[05:36:30 PM] => AK : I like this company and believe that it has a story going forward. The company is in tie up with Ricoh and is going great guns. Investors with a twelve month horizon should double there money.
[05:36:42 PM] => ayan shah : Sir your views on Lupin lab, Torrent pharma and Nicholas Piramal scripts??
[05:37:01 PM] => AK : Excepting Nicholas Piramal the other two may be avoided for the time being.
[05:37:11 PM] => Manish : model portfolio for rs. 2lac till this diwali
[05:37:24 PM] => AK : Have not done any work on something of this sort and for such a short time. However entering div yield stocks and banking stocks would be advisable.
[05:37:36 PM] => rajeevmane : What will be the Open offer price expected for South East Asia Marine and when is sebi expected to give the judgement
[05:37:54 PM] => AK : I can speculate only on the outcome as it has been pending for a very long time. It appears from newspapers that the refrence date is the issue and this is affecting the decision. However I expect a final outcome in another 15 days.
[05:38:08 PM] => Deepa : Sir Good Afternoon ..It has been a long time you on the chat session..How is Fag and Skf bearing stocks??your email for any follow up please?
[05:38:19 PM] => AK : Good afternoon to you and to everybody else. SKF Bearing looks good and for my e mail address forward any queries to my iris who in turn will forward the same to me.
[05:38:30 PM] => Rajeev : What is the open offer price expected for South East Asia Marine and when is SEBI expected to give it\'s judjement
[05:38:40 PM] => AK : Just replied.
[05:38:57 PM] => blanche : Dear Sir, do u expect this rally to sustain meaning is the FII money coming back to India... Have we finally become an attractive destitation for them
[05:39:05 PM] => AK : Does not look so at this moment. August figures as of date are positive by 225 crores approx. You need many more developments for new inflows, but selling may have stopped temporarily.
[06:03:01 PM] => Rajjani : There seems to be too much discrepancy between the Futures pricing for Satyam and Digital -- a difference of Rs. 4 & 6 respectively. Are people short on the counter or is it that there saeems to be a bearish indication of things to come .
[06:03:32 PM] => AK : One should not read too much into it at this moment of time. Remember that till a week ago the Satyam futures were trading at a discount and in the last two days what happened is history. These two counters are extremely volatile, operator driven and dangerous in all respects.
[06:03:37 PM] => Akshay79 : Has the Mutual Fund Industry lost it. After burning so many people\'s money in 2001 and 2002 they even have the guts to launch more equity schemes.. Can they atleast first restructure their portfolios show a decent return (read as positive) and then ask us investors for more monies.
[06:04:01 PM] => AK : Well said, however it is for us investors not to give them our hard earned money. Shamelessly they will ask for it and many of us would give it. A case in point is the recent UTI ad which says that only two months and so many bonuses and dividends, and no place to write about them.
[06:04:14 PM] => Rajeev :What is the open offer price expected for South East Asia Marine and when is SEBI expected to give it\'s judjement
[06:04:33 PM] => AK : Have replied to it maybe about 15 days and as per newspapers around Rs 70 with interest
[06:04:45 PM] => sukritivijay : i want to know about short term future of software & satyam in particular
[06:04:59 PM] => AK : How short is short term If you would like to know about the current month or even shorter. Let me try to answer with a one month horizon. It is an extremely volatile scrip and the price moves with the futures outstanding. Look at the open interest and the put call ratio. As regards the Software Sector, we are all looking forward to the sector bottoming out.
[06:05:07 PM] => mailmamgain : which of the pharma stocks: cipla , ranbaxy,pfizer and Dr. Reddy\'s is likely to give more results by the end of next week
[06:06:54 PM] => AK : Cipla has been gaining for the last six days in a row and may show some consolidation. Dr Reddy was a gainer today and Ranbaxy is fairly volatile with two sided movements.
[06:06:55 PM] => AK : Cipla has been gaining for the last six days in a row and may show some consolidation. Dr Reddy was a gainer today and Ranbaxy is fairly volatile with two sided movements.
[06:07:06 PM] => saileshb : You do write interesting articles as i see and read it avidly every monday morning on myiris. The surprising thing is that u get it right 99.9 % of the time - i mean index movements ARE YOU an Operator tooo
[06:07:23 PM] => AK : Thanks for the compliment and as regards being an operator, if I was one I would not be writing for this site. It is only a study of the charts and an unbiased view of the market which helps.AK : Thanks for the compliment and as regards being an operator, if I was one I would not be writing for this site. It is only a study of the charts and an unbiased view of the market which helps.
[06:07:34 PM] => Rajeev :What is the open offer price expected for South East Asia Marine and when is SEBI expected to give it\'s judjement.Should we continue holding the stock.
[06:07:45 PM] => AK : Already answered.
[06:07:57 PM] => Manish : what about hero honda
[06:08:13 PM] => AK : The stock had a sharp rally ahead of the market and is consolidating with the rest of the industry. Around 250 it is a good level to enter. The stock hit a major roadblock after Mr Munjal said that the present growth is unsustainable.
[06:08:33 PM] => vikas_792002 : I would like to know about punjab tractors disinvestment , they wer going to appoint global advisor for the disinvestment
[06:08:42 PM] => AK : Yes you are correct. The Punjab Govt had said that they would do the same on a war footing but it appears nothing much has happened therafter.
[06:08:57 PM] => surajkris : Can I look at RCF as a disinvestment pick ... has a lot of property in Mumbai ... What price would u pay for it and why
[06:09:35 PM] => AK : Property RCF owns in plenty but maybe like VSNL, it may not be given to the private bidder.
[06:09:50 PM] => rajeev :Dear Sir, What is your take on the offer price of SEA Marine and should we hold on or exit
[06:10:05 PM] => AK : Already answered.
[06:10:16 PM] => garuj48 : ur call on TISCO , GHCL, and Tatachem - worth buying at these levels .. Or should I sell my holdings in them. i own about 2 lakhs rupees worth of each of the above mentioned stock
[06:10:29 PM] => AK : Tisco had a smart move today and is the best steel share for investing/trading. GHCL is cum div and the amount is Rs2.50 per share which corresponds to about 13 % yield. I would advise holding on and also tata chem as the fertliser retention pricing issue may be sorted out shortly.
[06:10:39 PM] => anant : What is ure take on Satyam given the so called SIFY deal and the TRW deal... is there any truth in the fact that the TATA\'s are pumping in $ 70 mln
[06:10:59 PM] => AK : Looks most unlikely, because the Tatas already have VSNL and Tatanova. Why would they want yet another ISP. Satyam gains in any case would be limited as they would have to pay indirectly for losses of SIFY.
[06:11:16 PM] => ravvi : can you recommend some stocks at available at less than Rs.50 with good dividend yield
[06:11:31 PM] => AK : Bank of India and Guj heavy are two stocks at this time with GHCL cum div.
[06:11:44 PM] => Anand Bhatt : Dear Sir, when you are giving me the go ahead to witch from HDFC bank to other stocks can I conclude that according to you there is no further or very limitedgrowth in HDFC BAnk stock?
[06:11:57 PM] => AK : Not absolutely correct. What I mean to say is that the switch would give you better returns.
[06:12:06 PM] => Rasmi72 : Your take on reliance petrochem... worth a buy at around 22 levels
[06:12:18 PM] => AK : Divide Reliance by 11 and if there is a difference, then buy.
[06:20:01 PM] => manik55 : Fundamentals are not there then why this run up another ploy by operators to get out from the stock
[06:20:15 PM] => AK : Your question is the answer. It appears so.
[06:20:35 PM] => Anand Bhatt : Dear Sir, Is J & K bank good at these levels.Is it a takeover target?What kind of upside do you expect? With the Kashmir situation always dangerous is it a safe stock since it may have a strong presence in that state I presume? Pls advise
[06:20:54 PM] => AK : Takeover no but stake sale possible. Kashmir situation is explosive but in such troubled times people keep money in a bank not at home. Looks good.
[06:21:09 PM] => Ajith : You have already replied about the issue involved in the South East Asia Marine. But what is your estimate of open offer price, will it be 80 or 240 as indicated by SEBI.
[06:21:23 PM] => AK :It appears from newspaper reports that the lower price is more likely.
[06:21:44 PM] => sachhu_shah : heloo sir, amm great follwer of recomadations coz in past i follwed u en was at positive side....sir, amm holding glaxo pharma since last 1 year but seeing no gerat moments in the stock so wat levell will u suggest to exit from the stock....2..amm also hoding asian paints since last 6 months en it gained some 40 rs in recent past en its dwelling around rs 340 thease days , so wat exit levell u sugest for this stock or should i stick to it..3..i also holding bajaj auto since last 3 months but in recent days feeling suffering loss coz overall auto news are not in favour of the stock ..but i can hold it for medium term if theres any upward trend possibility , wat u suggest about this stock...
[06:22:25 PM] => AK : Glaxo is a good trading stock and movements of 40 -50 Rs are quite common in a span of 15 to 20 days. Asian Paints is an excellent company but no market fancy hence investors are not very well rewarded. Bajaj Auto, the family feud has hit the share and more than mere patience is required to recover.
[06:24:31 PM] => Myiris : That's the end of the chat session.
[06:24:38 PM] => Myiris : Thank you all for logging in.
[06:24:45 PM] => Myiris : We thank Mr. Arun Kejriwal for sparing time and for his valuable inputs
[06:24:56 PM] => Myiris : We'll be back with more on Monday.
[06:25:27 PM] => Myiris : Please stay tunedtill then its bye from us.
[06:25:36 PM] => Myiris : Have a nice weekend!!
