Aurobindo Pharma announced that it has received the approval for its abbreviated new drug submission Terbinafine tablets 125 mg and 250 mg is the generic equivalent of Novartis Pharmaceutical Canada Lamisil tablet 125 mg and 250 mg, which is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails.
This is Aurobindo`s fifth product approval from Health Canada.
Terbinafine is a medication used to treat infections caused by certain types of fungus. It is most commonly used for skin and nail infections.
Recently, Aurobindo Pharma (Q, N,C,F)* has received the tentative approval to manufacture and market fixed dosed combination Abacavir Sulfate/ Lamivudine Tablets 60/30 mg from US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA).
Shares of the company gained Rs 5.75, or 3.81%, to trade at Rs 156.60. The total volume of shares traded was 35,590 at the BSE (12.40 p.m., Wednesday).
