Sterlite Technologies has completed the acquisition of Metallurgica Bresciana S.p.A., a European specialized optical cable manufacturer based in Italy.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 20.69% to 1,565,593 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,974,125.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Jul. 20, 2018, rising 3.52% compared with the Sensex's 2.67% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 6.45% as against 6.05% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.25, or 1.89%, to trade at Rs 336.50. The total volume of shares traded was 237,854 at the BSE (12.18 p.m., Monday).
