Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, on Tuesday reported 114% jump in total sales to 271,862 units in May 2021 as against 127,128 units in the same month last year.
Total domestic sales stood at 60,830 units in May 2021 as compared to Rs 40,074 units in the same month last year, registering a growth of 52%.
Meanwhile, the company's total exports jumped 142% to 2,11,032 units over 87,054 units sold in May 2020.
Total two-wheeler sales reported above 2- fold jump at 240,554 units in May as compared to 112,798 units in the year-ago month. Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 31,308 units in May 2021 over 14,330 units in May 2020, registering a growth of 118%.
Shares of the company gained Rs 35.85, or 0.86%, to trade at Rs 4,225.35. The total volume of shares traded was 36,673 at the BSE (1.09 p.m., Tuesday).
