The market may open slightly lower as Asian markets declined, according to SMC Global. Maruti Suzuki, Punjab National Bank, HDFC, Mangalore Chemical, Amtek Auto, Pidilite Industries, Mahindra Holidays, Syndicate Bank, Thermax, Bank of India, IDBI Bank and Union Bank of India to announce their results today.
As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/ Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 8.59 billion on July 27, 2015. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 2.38 billion on that day.
Asian markets extended their sell-off after Chinese markets witnessed the biggest drop since 2007 on Monday triggered by renewed problems in the world’s second biggest economy on poor China economic data. Overnight, the Dow dropped 0.7% and Nasdaq fell 1% while share indices in Frankfurt and Paris tumbled more than 2.5%.
