Nestle India receives approval under Production Linked Scheme

Nestle India, the leading nutrition, health and wellness company, has received approval from the Government of India under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Fruits and Vegetables.
The Company has always believed that the PLI scheme for the food processing sector will help farmers and the food processing industries. It is overall a good step for an industry that has one of the better ratio of capital investment and employment generation. In June 2021, Nestlé India had submitted its proposal towards the Government of India’s production linked scheme for the food processing sector under the eligible categories i.e., ready to eat / ready to cook and processed fruits and vegetables.
Shares of the company gained Rs 140.05, or 0.72%, to settle at Rs 19,476.15. The total volume of shares traded was 5,141 at the BSE (Wednesday).
