Indian equities extended losses in the post noon deals on Monday tracking weak global cues. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading below 2-month low. All sectoral indices were worst hit.
At 14.43., the Sensex was trading down 1,367.57 points or 2.29% at 58,268.44 with 10 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 408.40 points or 2.30% at 17,356.40 with 23 components falling.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Bharti Airtel (3.59%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (1.04%) and Asian Paints (0.66%).
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance (5.90%), Bajaj Finserv (4.77%), Reliance Industries (4.40%), Titan (4.01%), State Bank of India (3.96%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (3.74%) and NTPC (3.33%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex. Market breadth was negative with 808 advances against 2,581 declines.
