Indian equities traded higher on Tuesday. At 09.45 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 142.54 points or 0.40% at 35,640.98. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 38.90 points or 0.37% at 10,679.85.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Bharti Airtel (2.93%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.51%), ICICI Bank (1.39%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.36%), Larsen & Toubro (0.74%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.91% and ITC (0.91%).
On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services (1.86%), Infosys (1.50%), NTPC (0.62%), HCL Technologies (0.32%), Tata Motors (0.25%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (0.18%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
