Indian markets ended lower on Friday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex lost 67.27 or 0.19% at 35,808.95. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty fell by 21.65 or 0.20% at 10,724.40.

Major losers in the 30-share index were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (3.94%), Tata Steel (3.12%), Hero Motocorp (2.75%), State Bank Of India (1.54%) and Housing Development Finance Corporation (1.36%).

On the other hand, NTPC (4.13%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (3.12%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (2.27%), Reliance Industries (1.47%) and L & T (1.31%) were the major gainers in the Sensex.
