Indian markets ended lower on Wednesday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex lost 119.51 or 0.33% at 36,034.11. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty fell by 37.75 or 0.35% at 10,793.65.

Major losers in the 30-share index were Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (2.84%), State Bank Of India (2.60%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (2.51%), Larsen & Toubro (2.00%) and Asian Paint (1.77%).

On the other hand, Tata Motors (2.18%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.88%), Housing Development Finance Corp (0.76%) and HCL Technologies (0.68%) were the biggest gainers in the Sensex.
