Indian equities traded higher on Wednesday. At 10.11 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 82.35 points or 0.23% at 36,235.97. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 16.60 points or 0.15% at 10,848.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were ITC (1.82%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.50%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (1.08%), Tata Consultancy Services (1.04%) and Power Grid Corporation Of India (0.69%).
On the other hand, Hero Motocorp (1.75%), HCL Technologies (0.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.79%), State Bank Of India (0.60%) and Maruti Suzuki India (0.67%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
