Indian markets bounced back on Friday snapping earlier losses. At 9.33 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 75.13 points or 0.21% at 35,649.68 with 16 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 19.25 points or 0.18% at 10,769.00 with 26 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Motors (3.48%), Bajaj Auto (1.86%), Infosys (1.22%), Hero Motocorp (1.02%), Reliance Industries (0.93%), and Tata Consultancy Services (0.51%).
On the other hand, Coal India (0.93%), Wipro (0.87%), NTPC (0.76%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (0.53%), Bharti Airtel (0.47%), and ITC (0.29%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 662 advances against 506 declines.
R*Shares Liquid BeES topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 144.10 million. It was followed by Tata Communications (Rs. 134.29 million), Godrej Consumer Products (Rs. 88.32 million) and Bajaj Auto (Rs. 76.19 million).
The volume chart was led by Alok Industries with trades of over 4.35 million shares. It was followed by IDBI Bank (0.52 million), Reliance Communications (0.38 million) and ICICI Prudential Bharat 22 ETF (0.31 million).
