Alphageo (India) has received notification of award of contract from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Vadodara (Gujarat) for an estimated contract value of Rs 1.54 billion. The order is for acquisition of 3D Seismic Data in Mehsana Carpet Area of Cambay basin, India.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Dec. 01, 2017, rising 27.57% compared with the Sensex's 2.28% decline. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 26.29% as against 2.95% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 17, or 1.78%, to trade at Rs 972.20. The total volume of shares traded was 3,594 at the BSE (9.58 a.m., Monday).
