Colgate-Palmolive (India) disclosed a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 22.58% to Rs 1,278.20 million from Rs 1,651.10 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 8.38% to Rs 9,912.20 million, compared with Rs 10,818.90 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 21.60 percent as compared to 22.06 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,140.60 million, compared with Rs 2387 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 4.70, registering 22.57% decline over previous year period.
