NMDC, a state-run producer of iron ore, reported a 17.29% drop in sales to 13.11 million tonnes in September 2015, down from 15.85 million tonnes in the same month last year.

The company witnessed a 14.34% drop in production of iron ore for September 2015. The company's iron ore production was at 12.37 million tonnes, down  from 14.44 million tonnes in September 2014.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.9, or 0.96%, to trade at Rs 94.80. The total volume of shares traded was 177,945 at the BSE (1.21 p.m., Monday).
