Reliance Power, Anil Ambani led company engaged in development and operation of power projects, witnessed a rise in share price on Wednesday after it announced a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 40.92% to Rs 3,443.40 million from Rs 2,443.50 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter surged 57.89% to Rs 27,678.90 million, compared with Rs 17,531 million for the prior year period.
Shares of Reliance Power are trading at Rs 45.35, up Rs 0.75, or 1.68% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 87.99% to 954,056 compared with 22-day average volume of 7,941,155.
