Sun TV tanks after Home Ministry refuses security clearance

Sun TV Network witnessed a significant drop in share prices after the company's 33 channels were ordered to go off-air following the Ministry of Home Affairs' refusal to give a security clearance. The security clearance was denied on the basis of an ongoing instigation against Maran by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate. Shares of the company are trading at Rs 265.85, down Rs 90.5, or 25.40% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:12 a.m.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 315.34% to 7,127,741 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,716,109.
