NMDC and Larsen & Toubro bagged an order worth Rs 3.57 billion for design, engineering and construction of 5 million cum reservoir, water, and treatment plant of 8600 Cu.m/ hr and distribution network for NMDC's esteemed project 3.0 MTPA steel plant, 'NMDC Steel' Nagarnar, Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh).
Also NMDC and consortium of Megha Engineering & Infrastructure and Koya & company construction inked a contract for a value of Rs 3.15 billion for design, engineering & construction of intake well of capacity 10,000 Cu.m/ hr or River Sabri and cross country pipelines of length 34 KM for NMDC's project 3 MTPA Steel Plant, Nagarnar, Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh).
"All the awarded works in respect of NMDC's 3 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Nagarnar is being taken up on war footing so that the timelines for commissioning of plant can be met. The contracts are very crucial as this will provide water linkage for operation of the plant," the company said.
Shares of the NMDC declined Rs 0.60, or 0.42%, to trade at Rs 140.70 at the BSE(Wednesday).
