NHPC standalone quarterly net falls 30.66%

NHPC announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 30.66% to Rs 1,798.30 million from Rs 2,593.50 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 2.83% to Rs 11,770.40 million, compared with Rs 11,446 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.16, registering 23.81% decline over previous year period.
