Great Eastern Shipping Company (G E Shipping), the shipping and offshore service provider, took delivery of a 2004-built medium range product tanker Jag Pranam of about 47,700 dwt. The company had contracted to buy the ship in November 2014.
With the inclusion of the vessel, the company's current fleet stands at 31 vessels comprising 22 tankers (8 crude carriers, 12 product tankers, 2 LPG carriers) and 9 dry bulk carriers (1 capesixe, 3 kamsarmax, 5 supramax) with an average age of 9.8 years aggregating 2.5 mn dwt. One of the two LPG carriers included in the fleet has been contracted for sale in July 2014.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.55, or 0.14%, to settle at Rs 397.95. The total volume of shares traded was 6,045 at the BSE (Tuesday).
