US stock markets are likely to open higher on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average went up 1.12% to trade at 17,305. The S&P 500 futures gained 1.13% to trade at 2,011.1. The Nasdaq composite index futures increased 1.49% to trade at 4,150.5. (3.58 p.m., IST).

On Thursday, US stock markets settled higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 221.11 points or 1.3 percent to settle at 17,195.42. NASDAQ 100 index gained 10.08 points or 0.25 percent to close at 4,100.64. The broader S&P 500 index gained 12.35 points or 0.62 percent to end at 1,994.65.
