10 year G-sec yield falls to 8.44%

Indian government bond yields fell on Thursday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 decreased 4 basis points to settle at 8.44% from 8.48% on last trading day. The 7.28% G-sec 2019 declined 3 basis points to settle at 8.3% from 8.33% on last trading day.

Indian rupee has weakened on Thursday against US dollar. Indian currency declined 10 paise or 0.16 percent against dollar to settle at 61.45. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.39 and a low of 61.55. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91. The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, went up 0.33 percent to settle at 86.23.
