10 year G-sec yield falls to 8.55%

Indian government bond yields fell on Wednesday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 decreased 2 basis points to settle at 8.55% from 8.57% on last trading day. The 7.28% G-sec 2019 declined marginally by 1 basis point to settle at 8.36% from 8.37% on last trading day.

Indian rupee has appreciated on Wednesday against US dollar. Indian currency rose 4 paise or 0.07 percent against dollar to settle at 61.28. Rupee has witnessed a high of 61.16 and a low of 61.30. Its 52-week range was 58.34-63.91. The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.18 percent to settle at 85.45.
