Escorts Agri Machinery Segment (EAM) in September 2014 sold 7,072 tractors, growth of 9.4% against 6,465 tractors in September 2014. Domestic sales in September 2014 stood at 6,844 tractor as that of 6,397 in September 2013. Export for the month of September 2014 stood at 228 tractors as that of 68 tractors in September 2013.
Earlier, the company has sold 3,624 tractors in August 2014, a fall of 7.34% against 3,911 tractors in August 2013. Domestic sales in August 2014 stood at 3,147 tractors as against 3,823 tractors in August 2013. Export for the month of August 2014 stood at 477 tractors as that of 88 tractors in August 2013.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2.5, or 1.64%, to settle at Rs 149.60. The total volume of shares traded was 309,049 at the BSE (Wednesday).
