Shree Cement enters into biz transfer agreement with JP Associates

Shree Cement said that the company has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Jaiprakash Associates on Sept. 19, 2014. The agreement is for acquisition of 1.50 MTPA cement grinding unit of Jaiprakash Associates situated at Panipat in the State of Haryana for a tentative consideration of around Rs. 3.6 billion.
The transaction is subject to obtaining necessary approvals and consents. Shree Cement is a cement manufacturer in India. It was founded in the Beawar in district Ajmer of Rajasthan and now one of the biggest cement in Northern India. Shares of the company declined Rs 85.85, or 0.99%, to settle at Rs 8,598. The total volume of shares traded was 559 at the BSE (Friday).
