RC Bhargava,  Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India today said at an Assocham meeting about voting by minority shareholders in Gujarat plant will take place in November instead of October. Bhargava clarified about the minority shareholders vote on Gujarat plant. "We have not finalized as of now. October will not be possible because time is not adequate for that. The earliest it can happen is in November," he said.

Replying to a question from a reporter on replacement, Bhargava said, "I am sure the management will be looking for a replacement. I am not in the management."

While replying to the media, Bhargava said, "I'm not sure why it is such a newsworthy story because senior colleagues have been leaving the company all the time. It is part of the way and happens in all companies."

He further said, "Maruti is not a company which is run by individuals. It is a company which is run by systems and processes. It certainly would be incorrect to believe that shareholders invest because of persons. I think they invest because of what a company is and how it is run and what the systems are."

Anant Geete, Union Minister, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Sector Enterprises said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan of Come, Make in India from the ramparts of the Red Fort, we have to make that slogan successful. It is my duty to make this slogan successful."

Geete further said, "The automotive industry is a very important ministry and directly related to my Ministry. I assure government cooperation to the entire auto industry. Indo-Japan relations have become stronger because of Prime Minister Modi’s visit. The automotive industry needs to take advantage of this. Japan has technological expertise, we have human resource power. Automotive sector needs technological upgradation."

Rahul sharma, Chairman of Assocham Japan-India business promotion council said, "We have envisaged huge Japanese investment in the coming furture of which Auto industry will be very prominent and therefore necessary to upgrade technology in this field."
