GMR Infrastructure said that the board of directors approved to issue equity shares by way of rights issue for Rs 15 billion to the shareholders of the company. This is in accordance with the SEBI Regulations, 2009, as amended and other applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Recently, the company has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for providing financial assistance to Japanese companies investing in infrastructure projects of GMR Group.
 
Shares of the company declined Rs 1.85, or 7.44%, to trade at Rs 23. The total volume of shares traded was 2,035,495 at the BSE (1.33 p.m., Tuesday).
