Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the Indian tractor industry during August 2014.

Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during August 2014 stood at 15,006 units, as against 14,158 units for the same period last year, a growth of 6%.

The sales were at 13,733 units in the domestic market, as against 13,543 units in August 2013, a growth of 1%. Exports for the month stood at 1,273 units.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.05, or 0.22%, to settle at Rs 1,403.80. The total volume of shares traded was 45,157 at the BSE (Monday).
