''Silver moved higher yesterday but could not hold the gains. Today prices are expected to have crucial resistance at Rs 42,500 and fresh upside can be seen only above this else prices can trade sideways to down towards Rs 41,700 and Rs 41,500. Prices if hold Rs 41,500 then again pullback can be seen,'' said Emkay Commotrade.

''Gold prices are expected to have resistance at USD 1,289 i.e. Rs 27,900 and selling pressure can be seen there. On lower side prices can test USD 1,277 i.e. Rs 27,700 and USD 1,273 i.e. Rs 27,620. Prices should not move above USD 1,296 i.e. Rs 28,050 to maintain negative outlook for the day,'' it added.
