PTC India Financial Services said a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.13 times to Rs 521.32 million from Rs 244.56 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 2.01 times to Rs 1,732.26 million, compared with Rs 862.17 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.93, registering 2.11 times growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.45, or 10.62%, to trade at Rs 35.95. The total volume of shares traded was 3,402,637 at the BSE (1.27 p.m., Monday).
