The Great Eastern Shipping shares climbed on Friday after it has signed a contract to sell Jag Vidhi, a very large gas carrier. The 1990 built vessel of about 49,701 dwt will be delivered to the buyers in H2 2014-15, it said.
Excluding Jag Vidhi, the company's fleet stands at 28 vessels, comprising 20 tankers and 8 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 9.5 years aggregating 2.32 millon dwt.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 376.45, down Rs 9.40, or 2.56% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:15 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 394 and low of Rs 371. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 21,585.
