Sabero Organics Gujarat said a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 27.22% to Rs 25.56 million from Rs 35.12 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 28.85% to Rs 1,602.68 million, compared with Rs 1,244 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.76, registering 26.92% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.75, or 2.23%, to settle at Rs 125.80. The total volume of shares traded was 5,654 at the BSE (Wednesday).
