Sonata Software strengthens next generation app development with Progress Pacific

Progress Software announced its continued commitment to developing its Indian market by partnering with one of the largest technology infrastructure providers in the country, Sonata Software, to deliver its Progress Pacific platform-as-a-service (PaaS).

Based in Bangalore, India, Sonata Software is an IT service provider to Fortune 100 companies across the globe in the Software Product Development, Enterprise IT and Technology Infrastructure segments.
 
Progress Software provides reliable and high performance data application solutions to customers globally to improve the big data integration, data interoperability, mobility and application development needs of customers.

Sonata Software believes Progress fits its strategic approach to be an early mover on bringing the latest technology solutions to its customers in India through its Technology Infrastructure business.
 
Speaking about the partnership, Sujit Mohanty, head technology infrastructure business, Sonata Software, stated, ''Progress Software with it's simple, fast & open platform is undoubtly a proven leader in large scale data apllications & operations.  Through our wide distribution network in India, we intend to deliver this solution to users, realizing value in the market for Progress Software and our customers.''

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.25, or 0.5%, to trade at Rs 49.45. The total volume of shares traded was 58,588 at the BSE (1.17 p.m., Wednesday).
