Edelweiss Financial Services announced that the company's board of directors will meet on Apr. 23, 2014, to consider the buy-back of equity shares.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Apr. 16, 2014, falling 5.95% compared with the Sensex's 2.14% rise.

It underperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 1.01% as against 4.76% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.75, or 2.33%, to settle at Rs 32.90. The total volume of shares traded was 103,756 at the BSE (Thursday).
