Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have raised shareholding in ITC, the India's largest FMCG company. DIIs shareholding increased to 34.67% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 34.34% as on Dec. 2013.
Under DII, insurance companies held maximum stake of 21.35%, followed by mutual funds / UTI (13.27% stake) and financial institutions / banks (0.05% stake).
On the other hand, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) shareholding was unchanged at 19.26 % at the end of March 2014 quarter.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.2, or 0.06%, to settle at Rs 343.85. The total volume of shares traded was 2,180,971 at the BSE (Friday).
