SpiceJet cuts fare in three states
SpiceJet has started giving limited-period discounted tickets to flyers from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. The no-frill airline on Tuesday came up with a three-day, region-wise discount offer for travel originating from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tuticorin, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Kolkata. An airline spokesperson said these low fares were being offered on one-way travel. The tickets could be booked till April 10 for travel between June 1 and July 31.
GVK's coal mine project receives conditional nod from Aussie court
The Land Court of Queensland in Australia has granted conditional clearance to USD 10 billion Alpha Coal Mine project being developed by GVK Hancock, part of the Hyderabad-based GVK group. GVK on Tuesday welcomed the recommendations from the Land Court that the environmental authority and mining lease for its coal project be granted subject to conditions.

MTN, Airtel team up for cross-border money transfer service
MTN Group and Bharti Airtel has entered into a cross-border remittance partnership to transfer money between Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. The partnership would help both the operators' customers on either side of the border. It will enable Mobile Money customers of MTN Ivory Coast and Airtel in Burkina Faso to easily transfer money between the neighbouring countries. Until now, moving money between the two countries was mired by high fees, high usage of informal channels and a lack of proximity to withdraw money.
ABB bags USD 18 mn PowerGrid order
Power and automation technology group of ABB has won an order worth around USD 18 million from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) to construct a 400 kilovolt (kV) gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) sub-station at Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
