Sagar Cements clarified on report published by newspaper titled 'Vicat in talks to buy out Ally in cement JV'.
"We wish to deny the contents relating to our company in the said news item, which are speculative in nature. We wish to confirm that we are not aware of any information that has not been announced to the exchanges which could explain the movement in trading," the company said.
Shares of the company gained Rs 8.6, or 5%, to trade at Rs 180.60. The total volume of shares traded was 564 at the BSE (1.18 p.m., Wednesday).
