Gujarat Industries Power Company announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2013. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 39.14% to Rs 425.50 million from Rs 699.20 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 6.05% to Rs 3,493.80 million, compared with Rs 3,718.80 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.81, registering 39.18% decline over previous year period.
