Yes Bank Q4 net jumps 29% to Rs 11.79 bn

Yes Bank, one of the leading private sector bank, today reported a 29.02% jump in net profit at Rs 11.79 billion for the third quarter ended March 31, 2018 from Rs 9.14 billion in the same period last year.

Interest earned of the bank increased 32.05% to Rs 57.42 billion during the quarter from Rs 43.48 billion in the corresponding period last year.

Net Interest Income grew by 31.4% y-o-y (Rs 21.54 billion) for Q4FY18, and 33.5% y-o-y (Rs 77.37 billion) in FY18.

NIMs stand healthy at 3.4% for Q4FY18 and 3.5% for FY18 (up from 3.4% in FY17).

Non-Interest Income grew by 13.0% y-o-y (Rs 14.21 billion) for Q4FY18, and 25.7% y-o-y (Rs 52.23 billion) in FY18.

Shares of the bank gained Rs 27.75, or 8.53%, to trade at Rs 352.95. The total volume of shares traded was 3,403,314 at the BSE (3.13 p.m., Thursday).
