The bank has received a communication from Ministry of Finance, Government of India that the Alternative Mechanism (AM) after consultation with Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has decided that Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank may consider amalgamation of the three Banks.
Shares of the Bank of Baroda declined Rs 31.2, or 21.34%, to trade at Rs 115.00. The total volume of shares traded was 7,252,221 at the BSE (2.07 p.m., Tuesday).
Shares of the Vijaya Bank declined Rs 4.4, or 7.22%, to trade at Rs 56.50. The total volume of shares traded was 2,894,544 at the BSE (2.07 p.m., Tuesday).
Shares of the Dena Bank gained Rs 3, or 18.63%, to trade at Rs 19.10. The total volume of shares traded was 743,901 at the BSE (2.07 p.m., Tuesday).
