The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 0.85% to USD 50.83 a barrel (bbl) on April 26, 2017 as against USD 50.40 a bbl on April 25, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,253.25 a bbl on April 26, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,239.87 a bbl on April 25, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs. 64.00 per USD on April 26, 2017 as against Rs. 64.28 per USD on April 25, 2017.

Local stock markets dropped on Thursday erasing earlier gains. The Nifty was trading near life time high. At 12.18 p.m, the Sensex was trading down 64.52 points or 0.21% at 30,068.83 with 18 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 9.00 points or 0.10% at 9,342.85 with 33 components falling.
