US stock markets settled lower on Tuesday as investors eagerly awaited a speech from President Donald Trump while parsing through key economic data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 25.20 points or 0.12 percent to settle at 20,812.24. NASDAQ 100 index lost 17.24 points or 0.32 percent to close at 5,330.31. The broader S&P 500 index lost 6.11 points or 0.26 percent to end at 2,363.64.
