US stock markets closed higher on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 118.95 points or 0.58 percent to settle at 20,743.00. NASDAQ 100 index went up 26.00 points or 0.49 percent to close at 5,350.73. The broader S&P 500 index went up 14.22 points or 0.6 percent to end at 2,365.38.
