US stock markets settled higher on Wednesday as financials led decliners, while oil rebounded following the release of key supply data.

NASDAQ 100 index went up 10.70 points or 0.21 percent to close at 5,196.58. The broader S&P 500 index rose 1.59 points or 0.07 percent to end at 2,294.67.

On the other hand, The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 35.95 points or 0.18 percent to settle at 20,054.34.
