Indian equities bounced back on Wednesday snapping earlier losses. At 10.16 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 77.82 points or 0.21% at 37,368.49 with 13 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 23.50 points or 0.21% at 11,302.40 with 21 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Steel (2.47%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (2.28%), Axis Bank (2.06%), Coal India (1.90%), Asian paint (1.84%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (1.45%).
On the other hand, HDFC Bank (0.86%), Housing Development Finance Corp (0.72%), Wipro (0.72%) and Maruti Suzuki India (0.71%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
