Indian markets continued to rally for the second day on Monday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high. At 9.31 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 208.88 points or 0.55% at 38,156.76 with 25 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 48.60 points or 0.42% at 11,519.35 with 41 components gaining.

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Larsen & Toubro (4.10%), Coal India (2.49%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.93%), Tata Steel (1.72%), Tata Motors (1.63%), and Wipro (1.23%).

On the other hand, Infosys (2.54%), Bharti Airtel (0.69%), ITC (0.67%), and ICICI Bank (0.04%) were the major losers in the Sensex.

Market breadth was positive with 953 advances against 396 declines.

Godrej Consumer Products topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 271.83 million. It was followed by Infosys (Rs. 249.42 million), Larsen & Toubro (Rs. 148.68 million) and Reliance Industries (Rs. 147.45 million).

The volume chart was led by Reliance Communications with trades of over 1.57 million shares. It was followed by PMC Fincorp (0.99 million), Housing Development and Infrastructure (0.88 million) and Syncom Formulations (India) (0.64 million).
