Sensex ends 372 points higher; Nifty settles at 11,515-level

Indian markets ended higher on Friday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 372.68 or 0.99% at 38,090.64. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 145.30 or 1.28% at 11,515.20.

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Power Grid Corporation Of India (3.31%), Asian Paints (3.04%), NTPC (3.00%), HDFC (2.70%) and Indusind Bank (2.65%).

On the other hand, Coal India (1.42%) and Infosys (1.01%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
