European stock markets are trading mixed on Wednesday as mining and energy shares boost benchmarks in London, offsetting a cautious tone in broader financial markets ahead of this week's summit meeting between President Donald Trump of the United States and Xi Jinping of China.
UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 24.64 points or 0.34 percent to trade at 7,346.46. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 2.95 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 5,104.08.
On the other hand, Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 0.22 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 3,481.44. Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 27.66 points or 0.23 percent to trade at 12,254.68.
