European stock markets are trading mixed on Tuesday as an unusually busy year-end for corporate dealmaking provided support though gains came in light volumes.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 rose 3.48 points or 0.11 percent to trade at 3,261.33. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 9.83 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 4,832.60.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 14.56 points or 0.21 percent to trade at 7,002.60. Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 4.63 points or 0.04 percent to trade at 11,422.07.
On Monday, European stock markets closed mixed. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 5.52 points or 0.08 percent to close at 7,017.16. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 1.39 points or 0.04 percent to settle at 3,257.85.
